Based on the Communities Law of 1999 (86(I)/1999) and specifically based on Article 99A (6) of the Law:
The Council of the Communities Complex has the competence and responsibility to provide, within the boundaries of each Community participating in the Complex and to the extent of its financial capabilities, the following services:
(a) Management of waste collection,
(b) promotion of actions for the design and implementation of projects,
(c) provision of accounting services with a single software system,
(d) secretarial services,
(e) support from staff that it may hire,
(f) health services and cleaning services,
(g) traffic regulation services,
(h) services pursuant to the provisions of the Dogs Law,
(i) design, maintenance, improvement and cleaning of green areas of which are managed by the Complex or which belong to the Complex,
(j) any other services which the Minister determines, after consultation with the Union of Communities of Cyprus, that may be undertaken by the relevant Complex, by notification thereof published in the Official Gazette of the Republic,
(k) services for the organization of cultural and other events, as well as services for the implementation of social welfare actions.
